As well as creating the Curds & Croust brand name, we also came up with the concept for the product family and packaging range. We named each cheese after a village personality to express their individual characters and to encourage the consumer to explore the full range. Creative concepts followed, and then detailed designs and colour ways for each product label. To achieve the finished result we collaborated with Friends (phenomenal typographers) and Caroline Peddler (exquisite illustrator) to craft individual artworks. We also worked closely with specialist brie paper printers, French cheese-box makers and specialist label printers to ensure that the packaging performed as well on the production line, in transit and in the customer’s fridge as it would on the retailer’s shelves.
