New Website for Visit Isles of Scilly

Make sure you drop into visitislesofscilly.com, the new website we’ve developed to promote the unique pleasures of Scilly for our client, the Islands’ Partnership.

The new site provides a definitive guide to places to stay, things to do and travel to and around the Isles of Scilly, the getaway holiday destination of right now.

Whether venturing to the islands for a long holiday or just for the day, visitislesofscilly.com features everything visitors need to know about this uncrowded and unspoilt archipelago that lies just 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. Browsable by laptop, tablet or mobile, the new site is rich with images, video and information that are as easy to navigate as the islands themselves.

Visitors can find out about the wide range of accommodation available on Scilly – from castles to campsites – and foodie hotspots. They can discover a place that lets them island-hop by boat, snorkel with seals, explore forts, burial chambers and sub-tropical gardens, walk, cycle and horse-ride, row, kayak or windsurf, catch sight of basking sharks, dolphins and rare birds, and see a vibrant artistic community at work. It’s even possible to get married right on the beach in the new Scilly register office.

There are links to a gallery of YouTube videos that give a window onto different facets of the islands: travel, food and drink, places to stay, activities and adventure, and profiles of each island. And after their trip, visitors can share their best snaps of these stunning islands on the new website’s Memories section, and drop in on the Social Wall to see what fellow holiday-makers are posting on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

The website was developed by Wolf Rock for the Islands’ Partnership, the organisation responsible for promoting the Isles of Scilly. It has been designed to meet the unique offering of the islands and the various member businesses, and reflect the Visit Isles of Scilly brand positioning.

We were commissioned by the Islands’ Partnership, in 2013, to bring a fresh approach and strategic direction to the marketing of Scilly, and have provided brand development, new online initiatives, PR direction and the overhaul of printed materials.
